fRESHER

FINALLY!!!! INTERNET!!!
.
I am sleep/internet/skype/msn/blog/facebook (delete where applicable) deprived. But it doesn't matter!! Cos i'm a fRESHER and it's all gooooooodddd (:
.
I am OBVIOUSLY enjoying O-week so far at womens. It's been four days of hardcore partying and schmoozing, meeting people from all over (Australia); confusing/forgetting names and faces and courses and places. It all sums up to So. Much. Fun.!!!!
.
So we'll break it down, take it slow, drink some coffee, curse the weather, and bring some highlights.

.
.

Tues 24/02
.
.
I moved into women's college and was pleasantly surprised to find that my room was HUGE. It's a bigass room, which is such a bigass thing. Plus, there's only 7 of us living in the Back Alley, or BAlley, as it should be officially renamed as. But of course, good things come in small packages, which includes a gift from hell: ROACHES. Big ones, tiny ones, ugly ones, Fast ones - roaches all crawling in the BAlley. But isn't it expected! Sheesh.
.
Anyway, I'm officially a fRESHER, part of the women's crew. We're at the bottom of the ship's food chain - nothing, nobodies.
.
So, HIGHLIGHTS: Women's Night In...
.
We learnt cheers and our dance, which we have to dance to every single time the song (When I Grow Up - PCD) is being played - for the rest of our lives, at any place, at any time. It was totally awesome stuff! There was a party at the Sals (A bar in one of the colleges) but I didn't go because i was UNDERAGED. But a couple of us did pop into Menzies and watch Priceless - a french movie.
.
.
Weds 25/02
.
.
BY FAR, THE MOST TIRING DAY AS OF YET!
.
Breakfast was at 8, so we all set our alarms at sevenish. But obviously, the seniors had other (Evil) things in mind. They blew their really annoying whistles and knocked on our doors and shouted at us to wake up at bloody 6am!!!! I was so rudely waken! Haha! I actually fell out of bed because I thought that I was late for the Chancellor's talk! Seriously, I think I had a mild heart attack there!!
.
But anyway, what we had to do was Run. Oh wait, how could I forget (Note: Sarcasm) we had to CHEER too. We went to Pauls, Wesleys, Johns, Drews, Sancta and cheered at their windows, as if it were a really really screwed up shakespeare play. We also ran past a 7-11 and burgered** the guy -.- Apparently, there was a McCafe beside 7-11 (this is according to Tash) and some guys were all: "I can't do this at 6am!! I can't stand it!" HAHAHA!
.
Highlight of the day: Harbour Cruise with Paul's guys. Theme: Emergency Services. We must have been a sight, riding the 400s to Circular Quay dressed up as policewomen/nurses/armywomen(!!)/navy officers etcetcetc. Well, a bunch of the Pauls' guys were wearing Scrubs! And they planted the word 'Gay's Anatomy' on it! And put the words 'McDreamy' and 'McSteamy' at the back!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I was absolutely shocked because how could they degrade Grey's Like that! And don't even get me started on mcdreamy, mcsteamy! So mctotally mccrappish!! HYAAAA!
.
But anyway, we danced some, drank some. The party got a bit wild with a number of drunks and a lot of hooking up and pashing and stripping. All while we travelled on water. Hmm. Very nice. Haha but you gotta admit, a coupla Paul's guys were pretty cute!
.
We grabbed a cab home after, while a bunch of others went to another pub for the afterparty. Happpeenniinnggg or whatttt!
.
.
Thurs 26/02
.
.
We had breakfast at Drew's and it was absolutely the MOST disgusting thing Ever. Some of Drew's Seniors asked two of the freshers (one of whom was sitting at my table)(The other was really quite cute hahaha)(okay shan't digress no more) to compete to see who would finish up homemade protein shakes first. What protein shakes, you ask??
Raw eggs, milk, juice and probably a couple of other stuff.
Well, once was enough, but they had to do it again, and both freshers drank so much, they puked. They puked INTO their shirts, and it got so full, they manually 'released' it = A. Huge. Mess! Guys are utterly disgusting! That probably wouldn't ever happen in Singapore! On parquet flooring too!! Flabbergasteedd =o
.
Highlight: Coffee Crawl. A few of us at Women's and Sancta's, plus 2-3 (ex) drew's guys went to Newtown to cafe-hop. We ended up watching a documentary called Invisible Children (which I reckon you should totally watch) and in actual fact, only bummed at Cafe Newtown some. The Sancta girls were really nice though. Many people over here are! (Many, not all)
.
And today is Friday. There's a Toga Party that was happening, but I actually skipped a few parties. I was either underaged or couldn't be interested. But I did join some clubs & Socs in uni though!
.
Well, I am dead tired now and pictures will be up really soon! So just hang with me & we'll go far!
.
Disclaimer: (**) Burger is a kind of cheer that evolved from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. When we 'burger someone' - we are, in fact, serenading to him.
.
Lyrics:
You're a burger, bloody oath you are
Girls are attracted to you, Cos you're a superstar
Some say you're ugly, But I don't give a damn
Cos I'm in love with you, bloody oath I am!
(Repeat 2 more times, each time getting louder)
.
Disclaiming the Disclaimer: The lyrics are from memory, and may very well be inaccurate. We did, however, burger at least three random males over the past 4 days. Oh, fun.
.
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!

I join the queue on your answer phone And all I am is holding breath

I am so so so tired of eating. I have been gorging way too much and it is time to STOP with a capital S (which you do not see in this blog because this heck of a template realises that excitement should only be dependent on exclamation marks, not caps) And I guess I just Like to eat alot - like, ALOT. I never knew it before. I thought I ate to live, and not lived to eat. But afteramere 5 odd days (back) in Sydney, I feel the early stages of Obesity coming on.
.
So instead of talking about my day, I'll list what I ate today:
.
For breakfast - Banana Cake (Probably from Coles or Woolies)
.
For lunch - A bit of laksa, a bit of spring rolls, a bit of this...I don't know, spinach and cheese bread thingum, and a truckload of Sambal Balachan!!! Sambal Balachan does not fall from the sky like a pot of gold any other day in Sydney, okay! Once you get hold of a plate or two, you've got to hold on tight, and cram as much as you can into your tummy. Read, tummy, not stomach.
.
For dinner - Pancakes on the Rocks (not at the rocks). For those who haven't had pancakes on the rocks before, all I can say is: You are missing out on toooo much! It is like, AWESOME. Haha
But anyway, I meant to say this before I digressed - Steak, inclusive on wedges, with sour cream and sweet chilli (!!!!)(I asked for medium but they gave me a bloody rare - no pun intended), a bit of everyone else's food (pork ribs)(mexicano crepe)(Seafood crepe)(Something-something Crepe)(Are you drooling)(I bet you are, aren't ya!) and and and for desert, what else but P.A.N.C.A.K.E.S. Strawberry Patch and some other chocolate+banana filled butterscotch pancakes. SAY SINFUL, PLEASE!
.
But I'm hoping to walk it all off tomorrow because we're taking a road trip up to Blue Mountains/Out of sydney. I'm not sure actually because it might rain tomorrow! Sydney's weather's so balmy and cranky. Like today, while we were inspecting houses (stand-alone, awesome, huge, houses!!) the weather was pretty hot in the morning, and then it started to pour mid afternoon. Cold evening.
.
And I must like, go discuss something now. About my boxes and accomodation. Moving in to Women's on Tuesday! I am a sydney uni student. Must act like a uni student. Can i? YES I CAN NO I CAN'T YES I CAN YES WE CAN!!!

This is not my heart This is not your song

And so I'm surviving. Have been, and still am. The last few days have been pretty lazy. My parents and I haven't been doing much! We've basically just roamed about the city and ATE ALOT. In fact, I gained about 1KG already! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE! IT IS SO OUTRAGEOUS! Reminder: Start eating less, walk more!
.
There was some international student orientation going on the last 2 days - but I didn't attend. I guess I just wasn't interested, haha. I did go for enrolment today though, and am very proud to announce that I have chosen the subjects I'm going to do as a First year uni student! SO TOTALLY KICKASS. Of course, I might change it over the course of the next few weeks or so, but right now, I'm quite pleased with my choices!
.
So just for the kicks of boring you out of your butts, I have 2 compulsory core units for Sem1 - Media principles (Say: Pernille! Haha!) and a choice between 2 english subjects and a writing unit. I chose the writing unit because the other two seems downright Boring! Which leaves two free units for me to choose - One is french (I can still change it to Spanish, y'know!) and I chose this other writing unit. Some lecturer came and talked about this unit, which is modelled after a similar course under a different name in Stamford, So I'm guessing it's pretty good! It was quite convincing, really. Good stuff. So for sem1 it's going to be quite light, I hope!
.
Sem2, though, would be heavy. It's one compulsory core unit, and then French, of course, and then I whacked World Politics (!!!!) and also International Economy and Finance (!!!!!!!!!!!) It sounds crazily scary, even to me!
.
And I did meet the cool people from Taylors - Carcy, Joyce, Velda, Ashley, Soyoon, Tomoka, Ricci etc. Met this girl from Malaysia called Gillian who seems wayyy cool! She did year 11 & 12, though, and she decided to do spanish instead of french! Haha plus, she can't fit in the writing unit, so we can't be classmates! ):
.
Haha! University seems like a blast! Everyone seems so cool and fun and not to mention, smart!
Anyways, we're going house-hunting with Danny and Emm tomorrow. Think sprawling gardens, 1000 square foot metres (that's my home back in Singapore times 10!!), and lawns to be mowed. HOW COOL IS THAT!!
.
And so I hope y'all have a good one!

And then this song will never end

I am pretty much done with packing...I think. It Seems done, anyway!
So I'll be flying off tonight! People have been asking me how I feel and it's kind of not much of a deal, really. I will definitely miss Singapore though!!! ):
And my parents + brother.
And the clique.
And the churchies.
And the GB girls.
Yeah. That's about it actually. Hahahaha So, the last few days have been really busy for me. On friday, I went out with my aunt to town for a mild dose of shopping. After, the cousins + 1 went swimming and it was just like old times! Haha we were behaving like kiddos and it seems that we were about 8 years old like, yesterday. Good stuff, good stuff! (:
Growing up together with the cousins have been pretty awesome! Rosamund, Shayn, Rachel, Mitchel, especially.
And then it was Valentine's Day on Saturday. 14th of February. Totally overrated. Coming out of secondary school, Valentine's just became 'Another Day'. Nothing special about it. I did go for GB though and many seniors came back. All grown up, too!
That night, I went for Carlin's 1st birthday party at Aloha Chalet resort. Another cousins day. I will upload pictures immediately after this lest they start complaining! AND it'll be up on Fb too lahh
Church yesterday, lunch with the girls, bought a new phone at Heartland mall.
So I didn't get a HTC touch pro, which is way too expensive and very out of stock at the moment, but I did get the LG Ks360!
Met Cheryl, Kenneth and we took a bus down to Damien's house. Got dunked, ate a lot - did things you usually do at the BBQ, basically. Haha I do love them bunch of people! And I'm gna miss them many many hahahaha!
And now I'm off. See you over in Oz!

Details in the Fabric

In today's edition of The New Paper (11 Feb 2009), the first mention of President Obama was on page 18.

Headlines: "Obama repeats Bush gaffe"

Article:
"President Barack Obama is still getting used to some details of his new life - he bumped his head while boarding his presidential helicopter. It happened on Monday morning at the White House's south lawn.

Having waved goodbye, the 1.85m-tall Obama attempted to enter the helicopter but misjudged the height by some centimetres.

After a slight bump, the President resorted to bending down to get his frame through.
Former President George W. Bush also whacked his head on Marine One's hatch in the early weeks of his presidency.

This is not his first Bush-life gaffe.

Last month, Mr Obama had a "door malfunction" at the White House after a meeting with House and Senate Republicans.

He tried opening a paned window instead of an actual door, located just a few metres to his right. The door was paned too.

While Mr Obama's mistake was put down to his rookie status in new surroundings, Mr Bush's gaffe in 2005 after a press conference in Beijing was widely reported. He yanked at a locked door handle to exit the room.

Making light of it, Mr Bush told the media: "I was trying to escape, it didn't work". "
-AP

I mean, I think President Obama is awesome. He's probably the best change we've all been awaiting. He could seriously be swell if he doesn't get assassinated, and actually delivers the changes he promised to deliver.
I liked that he had to take his oath twice. It's human - a very natural mistake.
I liked that he talked about the handicapped people in his speech, directly referring to them.
I like that he's the first ever black president.
I like his charisma.
I like his youth.
I liked the jokes about how the White House should be painted Black.
Heck, I even like seeing him on the cover of almost every recent edition of Newsweek.

But can't we just move on already, and quit doing the compare-Bush-to-Obama dance? Surely there are bigger, better news out there than Obama 'whacking' his head on Marine One (Which I'm sure is fantastic).

Can I hear more talk about his JOB??? NOT WHAT HE HAD FOR LUNCH. Please, seriously!

You Can turn off the sun, but i'm still gonna shine

HAHAHAHAHA I AM SO EXCITED I AM JUMPING UP AND DOWN FOR JOY!
JUST BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE DEATHCABFORCUTIE'S CONCERT....
DOESN'T MEAN I CAN'T GO SEE SOMEONE ELSE PERFORM IN SYDNEY!
I AM GETTING PRESALE TICKETS NOWWWWW!

Sing about that oh love it's a brittle madness, I sing about it in all my sadness
Not falsified to say that I found God so Inevitably well it still exists.
Pale and fine I can't dismiss
And I won't resist and if I die well, at least I tried
And we just lay awake in lust and rust in the rain
And pore over everything we say we trust
Well it happened again, I listened in through hallways and thin doors
Where the rivers unwind, rust and the rain endure.
The rust and the rain so thin
Well I'm in like Flynn again

I think its fab!

Long standing debates and arguments in the rain

I have pictures still in the camera but I've been too lazy to upload them so far -.-

I have what, 5 more days until I'm flying back to Sydney and I'm in no hurry!

There's nothing to keep me here, and nothing to draw me back. But given a choice, I would stay in Singapore because starting university in another country still scares me. Yes, I am scared!

Nevermind that I've been there for a year already. It doesn't make a difference to my moments of doubts.

Anyway, I really want to get a new HP. My dad brought back an Xperia brochure. A week ++ ago I would've totally grabbed at the chance, but I don't like the querty! And HTC Touch Pro is not being shipped to Singapore anymore lehh. And LG KS360 is very ahlianxzxzxz. Later someone say I'm cheena pai one, how!

Hahaha okay lah, goodbye. Play You Give Me Something by James Morrison on the piano!

And have a safe flight, Sheng! xoxo
*/EDIT

But Do You Really Feel Alive Without Me?

You know What I think?
.
I think all these heart-broken girls in Singapore should Get. A. Grip. Of. Themselves.
.
If the boyfriend thinks that you're not good enough/not pretty enough/thinks that you'll wait for them 4evazxzx until the sky falls down, then LEAVE HIM !!!!!!!
.
Why bother to wait? All of you are pretty enough. Some of you are pretty famous, in Singapore, in the blogging society. All of you are talented in one way or another.
.
But it's a fact that (most)(hahaha!)(MOST, OKAY!) guys are jerks. They probably don't mean to be one, or may actually be nice guys. But somehow, they are wired differently from us.
.
.
This roughly translates to INSENSITIVE in Girl Language.
.
I don't believe in 'patching up's for a reason! If there is a way to work it out, then work it out. If you mean so much to the guy, he'd put in the effort to at least try and make things alright!
.
.
Do You really feel alive without me?
If so, be free, If not, leave him for me

Accidental Babies

Good news, bad news, good news

Disclaimer: Super Long Post.

Chris Martin is so charming. So so soooo charming..

Okay. So a mention of "Jason Mraz" made me switch from cartoon network to Starworld which is showing The Grammy's now! Total kickass music awards!
.
And then i switched channels and Guess What? Jason Mraz was non-existent and I was forced to watch 2 minutes of the Jonas Brothers.
.
TJB do not appeal to me. In no way are they cute. They look short. And the screwed up thing is that I really want to watch RockBand, despite them having pretty major roles.
.
But whatevz coz (according to them, on the grammy's) BLINK 182 are playing music together again! Is that Awesome, OR WHAT! Definitely NOT "or what!"
.
And I think Katy Perry is weird. Some people call her quirky. I think she's just plain weird.

I kissed a girl, and I liked it?
Not something I want to hear on the airwaves from a girl!
.
Am I the only one who isn't shivering with pure delight at the mention of her name? Who doesn't go ga-ga over her satin pants and whimsical dress sense? Brightly coloured outfits? Bleaugh.
.
Sometimes I see Katy Perry and I think she's pretty.
.
More often than not though, I think she looks shocked. With a tinge of awestruck-look-edness.
.
Photobucket
(Is one eye bigger than the other? Hmmmmm)
.
And So I present to you a few of her outifts which I ripped off from GFY (whose blog I read every single day, mind you!)
.
Photobucket
.
HYAAAA! This makes me dizzy with fear, I want to kung-fu someone right now.
.
Photobucket
.
This puts "quirky" and "whimsical" into a whole new different meaning. It's a HNL, people! There are sirens going off in my head.
.
Photobucket
.
When I first saw the top half of this, I actually went: "Oh! Katy Looks kinda pretty here!"...And then I saw that absurd thing sticking out of her otherwise not-too-horrible-looking dress. Is it a ruler? Something to keep Katy Perry from falling apart? Oh, Katy, enlighten me!
.
Photobucket
.
I was speechless, seeing this. And I couldn't agree with GFY more: PUT ON SOME PANTS KATY PERRY!
.
Photobucket
.
It just screams Lily Allen, does it not?
.
Photobucket
.
HAHAHAHAHA The terms "Deranged" and "Compulsive" just popped into my mind. Does she have a full-length mirror at home? Is she a flamengo dancer in disguise?
.
Photobucket
.
CLOSE YOUR MOUTH, AND PUT ON SOME PANTS!
.
Photobucket
.
PUT ON SOME PANTTTSSSSS!
.
And while I'm still at it, yesterday, the family and I went up the Singapore Flyer!
.
The Singapore Flyer is the largest observation (ferris) wheel to date (but not for long) and was really quite dysfunctional just weeks ago.
.
I admit, the thought of getting stuck way up high in a observation capsule for 8 hours with not much of a view and a whole bunch of other singaporeans does not appeal to me much.
.
But obviously, nothing happened and I did not need to rappel down a stunning 163 metres. I have rappelled before, but four stories and 163 don't exactly come from the same brood.
.
But yes, I do have some pictures up on Facebook!

.
1) I Don't put a tagboard on my blog FOR A REASON.
2) FINE, okay? FINE F-I-N-E. KevJumba is totally dead-panned serious. He is not funny. Actually, I don't think he's THAT funny. But....I think he's entertaining!
.

.
Because facebook is for all to see (READ: STALKER MODE), it is a crude and blatant fact that I am a fan of KevJumba.
But.....
...........Am I?
.
I am a fan of many things/people. One of them is the Teentitans. (the cartoon) This, I admit, like Kevjumba is mad about Pokemon (Which i was also mad about when i was, say, 8 - 9yearsold!)
Another is Johnny Depp, who can act up a storm. And Natalie Portman! And Ellen Page! And Abigail Breslin! And Will Smith! The list goes on and thinking about it kind of makes me dizzy with joy!
.
But when you're (almost) 18, and young and carefree and hopelessly bored, you watch KevJumba. Sure, he's not in the league of Jeff Dunham and Russell Peters (???) But at least he entertains! At least Kevjumba keeps me watching. Plus, the "Put it in Purse" video made me laugh so much, I keep saying "Put it in purse" now!!!!
.
So, I may have tricked y'all into thinking that I am KevJumba's biggest fan! But in reality, I'm not. I do think he's a little cute hahahahahahhahaha!
.
BUT, I must side and support Kevin Wu. KevJumba is funny, not in a hahahahahahahahahai'mthereasonwhyLOLandROFLandLMAOareinvented-way, but at least he makes me go ha-ha-ha.
How many of you can stare into a camera for five minutes and talk about being stereotyped! And get at least a laugh out of it! And be insanely popular on YOUTUBE! And get Jessica Alba to reply to one of your tag thingys! (this is a fact - Jessica Alba sure can keep her eyes opened for a realllyyyyy long time!)
Which says a lot. Especially for a young punk.

I'm getting bored of Facebook, So don't invite me, throw a sheep or bite me

I was watching KevJumba, WHO IS HILARIOUS (most of the time anyway) because a friend made him a fan on Fb.
.
KevJumba is a youtube comedian by the way. And so far, his jokes appeal to me because i'm young and happy and not yet twenty (or twenty-two).
.
But so I decided to take a chance and introduce him to the airforce person, who mocked me because kevjumba is decidedly not funny at all (to him) i.e no sense of humour (Airforce person, not Kevjumba hahahha) [:
.
Anyway, AFP (air force person) just threw another video in my face and this one's really good. Okay, fine. Okay?

And This Just In, You're A Dead Fit; But My Wit Won't Allow It

I woke up not too long ago. I should be out and about, with a much happening night life. But instead, I'm stuck blogging on a dead webpage that probably is read by less than 10 people. (Who, I'm quick to add, I appreciate very much just sitting there and being able to keep reading on since I'm always talking nonsense on this webpage)
.
I went for GB this morning. I nearly couldn't get up because I was exhausted from yesterday's walking about. Singapore ain't that small on foot, okay! I headed out to a couple of places with my cousin, so check out my FB for pictures [:
.
Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that a junior of mine, called MOE, joined GB recently. She's sec3 and already, she's in the GOH for this year's speech day! Last week she only knew how to fall in and stand to attention. Today, it was mine and juiwei's task of sending her on a drills spree - from stationary drills to marching to hentak to pandan to saluting. Pretty soon we'll have her doing slow march and the likes.
.
Anyway, I've come a long way from GB, and someone shouldn't allow me out on the parade square with my boots and full-u. I cannot even remember certain commands. Execution is already embedded in my mind, and thus, I'm on automatic mode whilest doing drills. Am I making sense? Well, I guess not.
.
And lunch with Alyssa and Juiwei was not very noisy - which I must point out, we usually are. There is a reason for this, and it is attributed to the fact that we are almost 18. Well, Alyssa's turning legal on Monday, which leaves the rest of us having some catching up to do.
.
I don't want to be 18. I want to be 14. I want to be crazy and run around. I want to have loud, embarrassing moments.
.
But I can't. Because I'm joining the ageging population.
SHEESH.

And that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I want to go out and do something today. Suppose I had a subject....But I don't Lah.
.
It's a friday and I reckon that on fridays, you should ONLY play happy songs all day long! Something along the lines of Panic! At the Disco's The Only Difference Between and So Happy Together by The Turtles. It's also impossible to leave out of your playlist: The Cure's Frday I'm in Love! Throw in some Daft Punk and Oops..I did it again! by Britney Spears and it kind of leaves me wanting to do a jiggity dance. Oh, and Jason Mraz! Never ever forget him!
.
Yes, I like happy songs.
And yes, I'm feeling happy today!
.
Anyway, I need to get a haircut ASAP and I kind of want to do dark brown/auburn highlights! But I'll probably NOT do it anyway because I'm not exactly the kind of person who takes care of her hair! I mean, I wash it every single day, duh, but sometimes the comb kind of disappears and I leave the house without brushing my hair Why am I even telling you all of this since it's not a fact I want to share? Hmmm?
.
Okay Lah I'm so bored and there's usually nothing on the TV now. I'll be back soon enough!

Because I love you so. Can't help but love you so

I love Bernice and her very nasal "oh mans" and aunty-fits and squeals.
I love Cheryl and her loud talking and funny antics and numerous actions.
I could sit all day and watch these two whom I hold so dear.
.
Okay. I will never step into another Seoul Garden for the next year or so, and I think I spent a lot today.
.
And no more camera. Very sad ):
.
And, recently i've been blog-hopping through street fashion blogs. Good stuff! Very cool, very quirky people featured with the greatest outfits thrown together for style!
i.e Xssat
Sydney Street Fashion, just for yer!
.
Okay, bye now!

I read you and God I'm good at it I'm so spot on

I join the queue on your answer phone
And all I am is holding breath
Just pick up I know you're there
Can't you hear?
I'm not myself
.
.
I have become a living, breathing cliche. It is a sad thing.
.
.
But whatevz. I've gotta get ready soon to go out and meet Cheryl. I hope Bernice is able to join us coz I haven't seen her in ages! Make that TWO ages!
.
I'm seeing all the Poly students wither and die of stress. Poly is seemingly not a breeze - nope, projects, assignments, presentations, Tests (which are just around the corner for them!) - The lecturers/teachers/whatever you call them just love to shove them down your throat, yes? And all at one go, too.
.
But today, we're gonna chill somewhere and talk. A much needed breather. I am going to raid FarEast too, and get seemingly cheap jeans and the camera! Must remember to check out prices of film, NOT in that shop too. And must remember to check out other vintage shop that seems to evolve directly from the dark ages with its old school hand-carry luggages and cameras and All. That. Dust! Or maybe I'm just imagining the dust. Hmm? Oh maybe, visit phae too! Hahaha
.
Well my best friend wants to eat Seoul Garden. Thank goodness students in Singapore are on the government's priority list. They don't even discriminate against "foreign" and "local", like Australia does. Heck, in Singapore I can get all the student-priced stuff I want! Better take advantage of it now while I still can..and while I'm at it!

Boppity Doo

I think I need to visualise.
Visualise and take action.
Visualise, take action and capture.

Because Maybe, You're gonna be the one that saves me

"The people sing, the people sing...I'm like, what do the people sing?"
Brooke Fraser
I keep seeing this on a PM and it's stuck in my head.
Brooke Fraser is pretty awesome btw!

Why can't I shed a tear?

The TeenTitans episodes today were really quite cool !!!

Soon she's down the stairs, Her Morning Elegance she wears

I've scene a vision.

Photobucket

I saw this on teenvogue.com and he's 20, from Louisiana, and extremely cute! What a piece of yummy, yes! I think he's dating Miley Cyrus who has a great voice but needs to sing better songs!

I wonder why we don't have more of his species here in Singapore !!!

Anywayzxz I met my mom at her office today before we took a cab down to One Raffles Quay. When she told me that she needed to get to the Bank, I thought of the ones that you can find anywhere, not the main offices! Which meant that I went to CBD in shorts and an oversized tee and slippers. Let's just say I didn't exactly fit in.

So I did my medical checkup - first Xray's and later, the tests all. I am very pleased to announce that even though I have not checked my weight since the LAST medical checkup, which is in Dec'07, my weight's been about the same! I thought I would bust the weighing machine because it seems like I've put on a lot of weight ever since I trooped down under!

I didn't grow taller, though. Not one inch. But that's expected so I'm not gonna mope around and blame my genes! Haha

Oh and I saw a camera going at 40bucks at Far East Plaza. It's NOT under lomo, and its tinier than an ActionSampler, though it has the same 4-lenses thing going on! I was so so so so tempted to buy it!! It's quite reasonable, I think, and it runs on 35mm film which is so much easier to find/buy/develop/print/scan than 120! BUT DIANA, I STILL LOVE YOU KKK!

Speaking of cameras, I think I need to shoot more. But of course, I've been far too lazy. Everyday I wake up at around the same time. Everyday I watch Ben10 from 9-10am and Teentitans from 10-11am. Everyday I laze around and do nothing. Everyday, Everyday, Everyday. I am so boring, it's not even funny!

Oh and I think Shawn has a knack of finding good youtube videos. The latest he introduced gave me the chills!

1. The video is bloody brilliant!!!!
2. The song is bloody brilliant!!!!
The artiste is Oren Lavie who is a singer, songwriter, playwriter and a theatre director! A genius who grew up in the Land of Milk and Honey (Israel, d-oh!) but later moved to london, new york, and Berlin!
I want his album The Opposite Side Of The Sea! ANYONE? (:

Delight and I.

Photobucket
Five minutes into swearing that I will not be/am not/was never ever emo, I
plugged the harddrive in and started playing The Butterfly Effect. My life is
one, giant (horrific) irony.

Seriously, how am I emo? It is just not possible. I -
Me, with my rainbows and chocolate sprinkles and glitter galore - How am
I emo?!

I never cut myself. I don't cry my bleeding eyes out. Sure, I listen to
bleak music sometimes. But more often than not, my ipod's blasting Jason Mraz
who is completely happy and boppy(?) and/or Bohemian Like You by Dandy Warhols
which is a total hippy song: READ: Peace, joy
&laughter!

Ahh, screw that. You'll probably never believe me. Someone just died in the
movie. Everyone's dying in this movie. And all that bad language, too!
Paedophilic fathers and brothers as psychopaths. I really need to watch
something happy....something like...Madagascar or what. Marley & Me?
(!!!)

Oh wait, I almost forgot to mention, Women's College
(finally) accepted me! I actually thought twice about accepting the offer
and so I called me dad up. And he scolded me, telling me to take it! After all,
if I don't accept it I'll be accomodation-less. Not a very nice way of starting
uni 09' with a bang.

Okay, I am going to continue watching my movie - Evan is charmingly scary. I wish Ashton Kutcher would shave his beard off though. It's straggly and unkempt, and as much as I like him on Punk'd, where he is cute in a psychotic, i'm-high-on-marijuana way, it isn't doing him any good. How is demi moore keeping up with hotfuzz? Hahaha okay this is starting to sound quite retarded.

Okay. Too much digression. I am Not Emo. I am happy and preppy and bursting with love. LOURRVEEEE. Delight and I will take a shot at Bleakness and chance the enchanted road of happiness over the rainbow where we'll find a pot of gold and all that.

I'll be back mayn. Better not bitch up.

When my mind's made up

I'm tired and stink like hell. The Brother is hogging the toilet and I have yet to bathe!

I will post pictures up once I upload them! Yesterday morning, I trooped down to Yuying and helped out in GB :D
There were new sec ones, so it was kind of like a welcome thingamajic! Taught the sec ones some basic drills and I am VERY ashamed to admit that I cannot even remember the command for roll call. But the games were fun, AND ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, THANKS TO JUIWEI HAHA
But it totally reminded me of my batch etcetcetc you know the usual drills etcetcetc!

So yes, I was super restless in church today for some reason or another. And we ran at around 5pm and then dinner at grandmum's!

And the toilet is free now. And no doubt, very wet =/
